The BCCSU Drug Checking Program provides two free, open access FTIR reference libraries for drug checking projects using Bruker FTIRs and shares them under a Creative Commons license. The two libraries are non-exhaustive and must be used in conjunction with other available FTIR libraries for comprehensive drug checking. In addition to our in-house library, the BCCSU uses the SWGDRUG IR Library (free), TICTAC Library, and Bruker Pharmaceutical Library for identifying drug samples. As these libraries may not be updated on a regular basis, the BCCSU Library can contain new psychoactive substances not accounted for in other libraries, as it is updated regularly when new compounds are identified. BCCSU FTIR-ATR Library of Drugs and Common Adulterants
This is an open-access spectral library containing FTIR spectra of drug samples and common adulterants (cuts and buffs). All drug samples included in the library have been externally and independently validated using either qNMR and/or GC/MS analysis. Quantification information is provided when available.
BCCSU FTIR-ATR Library of Tryptamine Analogues
This is an open-access spectral library containing FTIR spectra of tryptamine analogues. All drug samples included in the library have been externally and independently validated using either qNMR and/or GC/MS analysis.
The BCCSU updates these libraries regularly.
